As the summer heats up so does the tension among the remaining contestants
in ABC’s Shall We Dance:
The Celebrity Dance Challenge hosted by Lucy Torres-Gomez every Sunday
night at 9 p.m.
Host-turned-politician
Teri Onor has once again been dominating the dance floor as he and partner
Stephany
Sabalo topped the ranking for two consecutive weeks. Teri was in his
A-game again last week which made the
judges Ednah Ledesma, Audie Gemora and Regine Tolentino very pleased.
The question is: can Teri and
Stephany rule the dance floor all the way to the finals?
German
beauty-turned-Hot Babe Jen Rosendahl and partner Gifford Gavieres placed
second again which made
Jen a little disappointed. In her interview after the show, Jen expressed
her frustration saying she hopes next
time will be her time to be on top. If Jen really wants to win, she
needs to stay focused while enjoying the
dance as well just like what Teri has been doing so far.
Sexy
star-turned-reality show big winner Keana Reeves and partner Marlon
Aballe had some misunderstandings
lately but still managed to grab the third spot. Keana said she wanted
to prove that dancing is also one of her
strong points. Apparently, what she needs to work on more is her camaraderie
with her dance partner.
Simple
man-turned-fastest rapper Gloc 9 and partner Victoria Huyatid didn’t
quite impress the judges despite performing two dance routines as part
of their penalty for getting the lowest score in the first week. However,
the pair was not eliminated last week despite being in the bottom of
the barrel thanks to Michelle Madrigal’s
sudden exit from the show.
Yes,
Michelle Madrigal backed out from the competition last Sunday. She said
she’s having a hard time
keeping up with the demands of ballroom dancing. “Ayoko naman
ipilit kasi nakakahiya naman sa partner ko. Nahihirapan na talaga ko
e,” were some of her parting words.
It
wasn’t the first time a celebrity decided to drop out of the show.
It just goes to show how difficult ballroom
dancing can be so it must be taken seriously. Actually the secret is
simple – they just need to submit to their
dance partner (he/she is a professional ballroom dancer after all),
they must really give out their 100% and
more importantly they must devote some time to practice.
